Gary Dunne is a survivor. From a broken love affair to fighting as a mercenary in the 1975 civil war in Angola, he's lived through it all. Now he faces his greatest challenge. Go home to Ireland and help to prevent a Soviet-backed attempt to overthrow the Irish Government. Dunne lands in Dublin and sets out to carry out his mission. With the memories of his lost love affair dogging his steps, he engages in paramilitary activity in arming a group of subversives, and sails closer to the wind than the Irish authorities would like. Supported by the Mossad agent and a schoolfriend who served in the British Army, Dunne brings event to a climax that is far beyond anything anyone expected, but just one step of the newspaper headlines.
